Bring Your Shine Back
If you’re like me, you love your silver jewelry but hate the chemical cleaners you have to use when it becomes tarnished. I’ve got good news for you. You don’t have to use harsh chemicals to clean your favorite bling. I have an all-natural method that you can use, and you probably have everything you need in the kitchen. All you need is a baking dish, boiling water, baking soda, and aluminum foil.
Layer the bottom of a baking dish with aluminum foil.
Lay all your silver jewelry on top of the foil.
Pour boiling water in to cover all the jewelry.
Add baking soda to the water.
Use a plastic or wooden spoon or spatula to move the jewelry around to make sure it all comes in contact with the aluminum foil. (Don’t worry if it smells a little foul like rotten eggs – that means its working.)
When the silver jewelry starts to shine, pull it out and rinse it well. Make sure you plug up the drain so nothing precious falls down.
Dry with a cloth and admire your sparkly baubles!
